Carlo Gavazzi Space has been awarded by ESA-ESOC SARA contract, a Space Surveillance Architecture Feasibility study for an Innovative system for Debris surveillance based on the combination of UHF radar and Optical telescopes for monitoring the upper part of the LEO region.
Carlo Gavazzi Space will lead the following Italian Space Surveillance Team Partners:
- Dipartimento di Matematica of Pisa University,
- ISTI (The Institute of Information Science and Technologies “A. Faedo”),
- INAF (National Institute for Astrophysics).
The program is considered by ESA a strategic program for the European Space Surveillance Architecture Definitions.
