Successful end for EuTEF mission – October 2009

EuTEF (European technology Exposure), the Research Platform designed, manufactured and qualified by Carlo Gavazzi Space came back to Earth after 572 days of successful operations on the International Space Station.

The facility, hosting nine experiments from European Universities and Institutions, had been launched and mounted on Europe's Columbus module in February 2008. The scope of the mission was mainly focused on the effects of space on materials and living organisms. After 18 months of exposition to the harsh environment of space, EuTEF completed its mission and returned with extremely interessing results to be analyzed by the Scientific Community.
