QUITSAT Air quality assessment through the fusion of E.O, ground-based & modeling data

QUITSAT (QUalità dell'aria mediante l'Integrazione di misure a Terra, da terra da SAtellite e di modellistica chimica multifase e di Trasporto ) is an Italian project funded by the Italian Space Agency - ASI - devoted to Air Quality (AQ) assessment through the fusion of observations coming from polar and geostationary satellite sensors and ground-based data collected by DOAS spectrometry, multispectral solar radiometry, lidar techniques and chemical transport  modeling.

After the Phase A - feasibility study -   CGS manages the QUITSAT Pilot Project (2006-2009), to implement 3 subsystems for the main functionalities of Monitoring, Forecasting and Planning.
