Carlo Gavazzi Space develops scientific payloads for numerous large European missions, in particular the company is Prime Contractor with the European Space Agency ESA for the Laser Interferometer Space Antenna (LISA) and with the Italian National Institute for Nuclear Physics INFN for the Particle Detector PAMELA. The company is also developing scientific instruments to carry on experiments on the International Space Station. In particular CGS has developed the Biolab Microscope and Spectrophotometer and has wide responsibilities on the Alpha Magnetic Spectrometer AMS-02 instruments. CGS has specific expertise and is industrial partner of many Research Centers, Universities and Observatories for the development of new instruments and technologies for space investigation and planetary exploration.
