AGILE - Gamma Ray Light Detector - Astrorivelatore Gamma ad Immagini LEggero

Agile is an ASI – Italian Space Agency Small Scientific Mission dedicated to high-energy astrophysics. The AGILE payload main target is to detect photons in the 30 MeV – 50 GeV and 15 KeV – 40 KeV energy bands. AGILE mission will perform a complete sky survey to map Gamma sources.

Attitude Control: three axis stabilization system with pointing accuracy of +/- 1° Deg. Payload boresight repointing around the sun axis

On board data handling: based on transputer with DSP as payload processor

Data Storage: 64 Mbytes mass memory

Telemetry and tracking: S-Band TM/TC Orbcomm Fast Link Channel
